Centered Riding Coach Level 2, will teach you in the Centered Riding® technique of Sally Swift. Centered Riding®. You will learn to ride your horse from your own center of balance using the center energy of your body instead of using your "muscle power". The technique is key in allowing you to be in harmony with your horse and eventually the two of you will become one.

Learn to Ride Program

The Learn to Ride program is the Ontario Equestrin Federation certified stepping stones for Rider levels 1 to 8. Students learn horse management, stable management and riding. Progression between the levels requires testing both written and riding. Students entering this program will be provided with manuals and learning materials.

Lessons

All lessons are based on Centered Riding Theory. Beginning from the very basics of English riding in Dressage, Jumping or just riding for pleasure, you will learn how to ride correctly, safely and to understand the horse. Lessons run from a 1/2 hour to full hour of time. All lessons are given by a certified coach/instructor.

High Pointe Equestrian Centre is a Ontario Equestrian Federation certified facility.

The “Horse Experience”

The “Horse Experience": The Riding Lessons are divided into four different parts and always take at least 2 hours. Beginning with the grooming, saddling and getting to know your horse on the ground you will then have a brief theoretical part (i.e. How does a horse move in different gates and how do I sit with that?) and some Tai Chi stretching exercises to loosen your muscles. Followed by the Arena Lesson as described above. Concluding with a trail ride during which you can apply what you have learned in the Arena. This way you will always get a trail Ride even though you signed up for the Lesson.
